Ed’s First Time… His Debut In Hull

Ed Sheeran’s debut in Hull, November 7th.

Sheeran has been one of the biggest musical acts Hull has had the pleasure of accommodating to in recent years as the 21 year-old performed at the Hull Arena to a sold out crowd.

Recently returning to the UK after touring the United States, the West Yorkshire-born, Suffolk-raised musician performed some of his biggest hits as well as songs from his four times platinum certified debut album ‘+’.

Samantha Armitage, 18, who attended the gig on November 7th, said, “It was such a good night, he was absolutely amazing.”

The musician was supported by Irish act Foy Vance, and Brighton-born singer-songwriter Passenger.

After the gig finished, Sheeran posted a picture of the lively Hull crowd on his Instagram account, which he then tweeted.

Going on to perform in cities such as Newcastle, Blackpool, Edinburgh, and Glasgow in the United Kingdom, Sheeran will then tour Europe in such places as Paris, Amsterdam, and Munich.

Ed has been newly been revealed as the opening act for Taylor Swift on her tour of North America in 2013, where Sheeran has blown up in popularity after his and Swift’s duet off of her latest album ‘Red’ went to number 1 in the US.

The singer-songwriter has just been nominated for a ‘Song of the Year’ GRAMMY award for his smash hit “The A-Team”. Following the news, Sheeran took to Twitter to express his excitement, “A dream come true. Ecstatic.”
